Introduction

This lecture celebrates the achievements of Dorothy Hodgkin (1910 鈥� 1994) who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 九州影院 for her work on the structures of medically important molecules (including penicillin, cholesterol, vitamin B12 and insulin) by xray techniques.
