In recent years, researches in environmental science and engineering associated with water, wastewater, air and soil/groundwater are active more than ever. In particular, with most recent concerns on climate change and global environmental issues, resilient solutions for sustainable growth of our global society are urgently to be provided. Therefore, the theme of IEEC 2017 is to disseminate and share Innovative Technologies in environmental science and engineering with respect to climate change adaptation together with scientists, engineers, and policy makers around the world.
Jeju island is the largest island in Korea and was granted UNESCO World Heritage site status because of its unique and beautiful natural scenery. Beautiful beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves lie in harmony, and the mild weather makes Jeju an even more ideal tourist destination. We believe that all the participants can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery as well as the scientific programs by attending IEEC 2017.
