Hosted by the Department of ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº at Imperial College London, this online international meeting aims to foster and strengthen relationships in inorganic chemistry between researchers in Germany and the UK. The programme (now available) will showcase the breadth of inorganic chemistry with contributions from areas such as:
Transition metal complexes
f-element chemistry
Main group compounds
Solid state and nano-materials
Organometallics
Bioinorganic chemistry
Catalysis
Theoretical studies of inorganic compounds
This will be the next edition of the conference series, which has alternated between the UK and Germany since its foundation in 1991 by Mike Lappert and Heinrich Nöth. Previous meetings were held in Munich (2002), Cardiff (2008), Heidelberg (2011), Edinburgh (2014) and Göttingen (2017). It is anticipated that there will be around 150 participants. The event will provide a forum for networking and discussing research in inorganic chemistry and associated fields and is open to anyone (not just from Germany or the UK). The event will be more interactive than usual for online only events due to the use of Gather.town as the platform for posters and social interaction.
In order to widen participation, and due to the restrictions created by the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no registration fee, though registration will be necessary for students and other researchers. The poster abstract deadline has now been extended to 27 August 2021!
