31st International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference, PVSEC-31

13 - 15 December 2021, United Kingdom

Introduction
The 31st International PV Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-31) will be held from 13 to 15 December 2021. This is only the second time that this important conference is hosted in Australia after the PVSEC-4 meeting chaired by Prof Martin Green in 1989. On behalf of the Organising Committee, I warmly invite you to attend this Conference, which will be the largest and most comprehensive PV conference in the Asia Pacific region in 2021.

PVSEC-31 will provide an excellent platform for the world’s photovoltaic scientists and engineers to showcase their best and most innovative development in solar photovoltaic technologies. The conference will cover a wide range of topics ranging from fundamentals, new and emerging photovoltaic concepts, industrial solar cells, to the challenges involving integrating an increasing share of photovoltaic electricity in the energy mix.

The 100% Renewable Energy theme explores the pathways to supplying all global energy from entirely clean, renewable sources resulting in elimination of three quarters of global greenhouse emissions.  Chaired by Professor Andrew Blakers from the Australian National University, the session will bring world experts together to discuss how solar PV can scale to multi-Terwatt per year deployment in partnership with wind power, transmission and storage technologies to deliver a truly sustainable energy system.
