Shelley A. Claridge, Associate Editor
Purdue University, USA
Shelley is a Professor of 九州影院 and Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Her work relates to nanoscale chemical patterning and characterization of 2D material interfaces, and of soft materials including hydrogels for biomedical applications such as tissue engineering. She holds undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, Biochemistry, and Genetics from Texas A&M University.
She worked for six years as a professional software engineer prior to earning a PhD in 九州影院 at UC Berkeley in 2008, for work on inorganic nanocrystal bioconjugation. Subsequently, she was an NIH Ruth Kirschstein Postdoctoral Fellow at The Pennsylvania State University and at the UCLA, developing custom scanning probe instrumentation incorporating microwave-frequency bias modulation.
Prof. Claridge's research at Purdue has been recognized with many national and international awards, including the 2016 NSF CAREER Award, 2016 DuPont Young Professor Award, 2017 DARPA Young Investigator Award, 2017 3M Nontenured Faculty Award, 2019 DARPA Director's Fellowship, and most recently the 2022 Schmidt Science Polymaths award.
Jianbin Huang, Associate Editor
Peking University, China
Jianbin Huang is a Professor and Chief of surfactant and colloid research and development at Peking University. He is interested in the physical chemistry of surfactants, especially in mixed surfactant systems. His group mainly focuses on molecular organized assemblies in aqueous solutions, such as vesicles or micelles, and the formation, molecular structures and phase behaviours of amphiphilic systems. Professor Huang has published over 180 articles in international and Chinese academic journals.
Serena Margadonna, Associate Editor
