The 2nd Dalton Transactions International Symposium took place during the 11th Conference on Solid State ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº and Inorganic Synthesis, China (CSSCIS 2010) at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, in November 2010. The purpose of RSC journal symposia is to bring together scientists in a stimulating and friendly environment that will foster collaborations between the researchers and the universities involved in the meetings.
The symposium featured two one-day meetings. Each one day meeting featured a selection of lectures covering solid state chemistry and inorganic synthesis given by some of the world's leading international scientists. The first one-day meeting, held at the Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel, Shanghai, was held jointly with the 11th Conference on Solid State ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº and Inorganic Synthesis (China) (CSSCIS-2010). The second one-day meeting took place at the University of Hong Kong. The symposium was organised by Dalton Transactions, the ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº and the local host organisations.
