Cancelled: Cosmetic Regulations Training

2 December 2019 08:30-17:00, R, United Kingdom

Introduction

Scope

An in-depth, interactive course which gives delegates a full overview and understanding of the cosmetics regulations in the EU, and what you need to know to market a product. It covers the requirements under the new European Cosmetics Regulations EC1223/2009, fully implemented in July 2013, with background on what has changed from the old Cosmetics Directive.

Note: There are still aspects of the new Regulations that are undergoing review and the course tutors will endeavour to give the latest industry opinion on the situation.

Suitability

Anyone involved in the development, manufacture and sale of cosmetic products will find this course of great benefit.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Understand ‘borderline’ products, the definition of a cosmetic and how to differentiate cosmetics from medicinal and biocidal products
  • Fully appreciate the legislation and guidelines involving cosmetics products (including ISO 22716)
  • Be able to check if and how ingredients are regulated
  • Have an awareness of product information file requirements
  • Understand claim substantiation and product labelling
  • Know how compliance can be enforced

The course includes a range of exercises and practical activities to demonstrate topics and test delegates’ knowledge. This will mean that you can take the information you learn on the course back in to the workplace.
