MolSim2020 - POSTPONED to JULY 2021

Introduction
The conference is a special event on the occasion of Prof Michael Klein’s 80th birthday to highlight the vitality and future perspectives of the field, starting from his numerous important and remarkable contributions to chemistry, biophysics, materials science, and, in particular, computer simulation.

This meeting will bring together old and new friends to discuss the state of the art, methods and current challenges in computer simulations, as well as reflect on the past, present and future of the field. The meeting will enable scientists from different generations to meet in an atmosphere that combines excellence and open discussions and will pave the way for new scientific advances and collaborations.

The conference will take place in Erice (Italy) from 5th to 9th July 2021 at the ‘Villa San Giovanni’ complex, previously a clerical summer residence but now used for conferences and cultural manifestations. The medieval town of Erice in Sicily is situated at the top of a mountain overlooking the City of Trapani.

Registration for participants includes:
Attendance at the sessions
Refreshments throughout the meeting
Accommodation in Erice for four nights (5th to 8th)
Breakfast, lunches and dinners
Attendance to the poster sessions
Attendance to the conference dinner on Thursday 8 July 2021
Day excursion on Thursday 8 July 2021

Bursaries
A number of competitive bursaries of up to 580 EUR to cover the registration fee (including four night accommodation in shared room, all meals, transportation to and from Palermo airport to Erice and excursion) are available for PhD students and early career scientists. For three of these bursaries, applicants must be ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº members of any level at the time of making their application. Please state so in your application. Applications for a bursary should be submitted as early as possible, and by 31st January 2021 via https://bricabrac.fisica.unimo.it/ErcMlk80/

If you are based in the UK or Ireland or if not, you have held three years RSC membership (past or current), you can apply for some support to assist with additional financial costs that you incur for care usually provided by you whilst you attend this meeting.
