This live and interactive Virtual Classroom training course provides a complete training solution enabling you to understand your Liquid Chromatograph or LC-MS instrument, develop applications, troubleshoot & maintain it.
This course has been approved by the ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
This course provides the essential and practical theory about all available HPLC & LC-MS techniques, covering how to select an appropriate mobile phase and develop gradient elution methods; pumps and plumbing; autosampler injection techniques; sample preparation, calibration standards and sample properties; how to select an HPLC column; selection and operation of an appropriate HPLC detector and how to undertake data analysis for quantitation and qualitative analysis.
The course will provide strategies for method development and method optimisation and how to maintain and troubleshoot the instrument, techniques and method. It also looks at some advanced techniques for difficult samples. HPLC to UHPLC method migration is briefly discussed, chromatographic deconvolution utilising tandem mass spectrometry, multi-dimensional LC (LCxLC), on-line SPE and chemometrics.
This is a modular course, delegates can choose to attend individual modules, or combine modules to suit their needs:
Module 1: Practical Essentials of Liquid Chromatography and LC-MS Introduction
Module 2: Practical Essentials of Mobile Phases & Pumps in HPLC & LC-MS
Module 3: Practical Essentials of Sample Introduction in HPLC & LC-MS
Module 4: Practical Essentials of LC Classification, Columns & Theory
Module 5: Practical Essentials of LC Detectors
Module 6: Practical Essentials of Data Analysis for HPLC & LC-MS
Module 7: Practical Essentials of Mass Spectrometers in LC-MS
Module 8: Sample Preparation, Calibration Standards and Sample Properties for HPLC & LC-MS
Module 9: Applied Method Development & Optimisation for HPLC & LC-MS
Module 10: An Introduction to Advanced Techniques in HPLC & LC-MS
Module 11: Applied HPLC & LC-MS Maintenance
Module 12: Applied Troubleshooting for HPLC & LC-MS
You can choose to attend all the modules for a complete training solution, or alternatively, you can attend the first part covering the Practical Essentials of HPLC & LC-MS and join us at a later date to attend the more advanced HPLC & LC-MS Clinic course.
This course is taught live in a virtual classroom and offers a fully interactive experience, with instrument parts and consumables to see. Participants can ask live questions; either by using their microphone or by typing into the chat box.
Duration: 32.5 hours.
Scheduled course price: £1675 + VAT per delegate.
