11 December 2023 09:30-12:15, Secunderabad, India

Introduction
Introduction
Meet the Editors (MTE) programs are aimed at providing researchers with a platform to interact and engage with the RSC’s Journal Editors and board members. MTE provides researchers an opportunity to hear some of the exciting research by leading scientists on our journal board. You will also have the opportunity to interact with them and clarify your burning questions on the key aspects of their research.

The MTE would not only be beneficial to students and researchers pursuing chemical science but also for anybody wanting to develop their skills at any stage of their research career.

Join us for our Meet the Editors programme.
Join us to make the best use of this time (11th Dec 2023, 9.30 am -12.15 pm IST) and be a part of the interactive discussions at BITS Hyderabad. Speakers
Professor Christian Doonan, University of Adelaide, Australia

Christian Doonan is Professor of chemistry at the University of Adelaide. He received his PhD at the University of Melbourne and carried out post-doctoral work with Professor Omar Yaghi at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research group focuses on the design and synthesis of metal-organic framework materials for application to biotechnology and catalysis. Christian is a member of the international MOF commission and his research has been recognised through several awards including, an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship and a distinguished lectureship award from the Chemical Society of Japan.

Professor Chilla Malla Reddy, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata, India

Professor C Malla Reddy received his PhD in Crystal Engineering in 2006 from the University of Hyderabad, and took up Post-Doctoral Research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany (2007 – 2008). He had been an Honorary Visiting Scientist to University of Bradford (2015-18) and a recipient of the ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº’s Mobility Grant, Distinguished Lectureship Award from the Chemical Society of Japan (2017) and Swarnajayanti Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, India. He is a Co-editor of Acta Crystallogr. B and served as an Associate Editor for RSC Advances in 2015-16. He served on the Local Organizing Committee of IUCr2017@Hyderabad, India. His research group is engaged in understanding mechanical properties of organic solids, including pharmaceutical and optoelectronic crystals. Some of his well known contributions include the discovery of flexible elastic and plastic organic crystals, designing flexible crystals using Supramolecular Shape Synthons, etc.

Dr. Aparna Ganguly, ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº, India

Dr Aparna Ganguly completed her graduation and post- graduation in ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº from University of Delhi and subsequently obtained her PhD in Materials ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº under the supervision of Professor A. K. Ganguli at IIT Delhi. After a short stint at teaching Physical ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº at Central University of Rajasthan, she moved back to the Nanoscale Research Facility, IIT Delhi as a scientist where she worked extensively on porous materials and their applications. In 2014, she joined the ¾ÅÖÝÓ°Ôº where she is currently the Editorial Development Manager and manages the journal portfolio and their growth in India.  As a part of her role, she works quite extensively with the scientific community, various Indian chemical societies, and researchers across various disciplines of Chemical Sciences and support the journal teams.
