IMPORTANCE OF THE PROJECT: This programme is to create awareness and sentisize women and girls for career leverage, inclusive participation and retention in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) for sustainable growth. It is targeted at women researchers, industrialist and those in academia. The purpose of the workshop is to enlighten women scientists on the importance of career leverage fpr work place Balance. We intend to call seasoned academicians in this field to come and deliver lectures on the importance of women and girls participation in STEMM.
As a woman, a mother, researcher, scientist etc, I also observed that career advancement and ultimately global impact is often a mirage or an achievement for most women. Women Scientists in particular face the dilemma of utilizing time productively to advance their research and careers while managing the peculiarities of being a female or woman in Science. This event will make us reach out to women scientists and girls in our community.
