The Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics Group (SMTG) of the 九州影院 is initiating a series of review/educational webinars, in which an expert speaker gives a non-specialist introduction to a topic of current interest. This would include the background to the subject matter, the current state of play and what challenges remain. We are delighted that Professor Gabor Csanyi will be giving the first webinar in this series on 鈥淢achine learned force fields are now practical鈥. Attendance is free, but registration is required. Please see below.
Who: Professor Gabor Csanyi, Engineering Laboratory, University of Cambridge.
When: Wednesday 13/3/2024 at 3:00-4:30PM (UK time).
Registration: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2302680150731646808 [attendee.gotowebinar.com]
Title: Machine learned force fields are now practical
In this talk, Professor Csanyi will review the recent history of machine learning force fields applied to chemical and materials systems and show how these new ideas plug a hole in our multi-scale hierarchy of tools for studying these systems.
Those who have registered will be able to access a recording of the webinar and obtain copies of the slides.
